John 14:1

In the preface to a series of Lloyd-Jones sermons on John 14, his two daughters recount the final days of their father's life.

Toward the end of his life, when he was very weak, he experienced for himself these things that he had preached earlier.

One evening his doctor said to him, 'I don't like to see you weary and worn and sad like this.'

'No,' came back the whispered answer, 'not sad!'
