A Philistine will stand before a Claude Monet painting and pick his nose; a person filled with wonder will stand there fighting back the tears.--Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel (Multnomah 2005), 89-90
By and large, our world has lost its sense of wonder. We have grown up.

Dane, is this a book you recommend?
Yes, Adam.
Yet what is lost can be found. “Forget not all His benefits”...Psalm 103:2
Hello, Dane-
The sky is a rich blue, unusual for southern skies, that are usually softer; I had opportunity today to rest my head, and look up at a tree, soaring, soaring above me, to eighty feet or so, it’s gold leaves illuminated in the bright sun, and waving in the wind. And I drank of the rich beauty of it, in gratitude...those gold leaves, shimmering in the wind, against the rich blueness of sky. It caused me to think of your post I read this morning of a “Monet.” I reflected on Psalm 103:5, that God “satisfies with good so that youth is renewed like the eagles...” It is wonderful to think, that that is His great heart, what He does with us, in relationship with Him. I love that Word in Hebrew for “renewed”...”to be new...rebuild...renew...repair.”
